     Being a striper fishing guide on Lake Texoma, is how
Blakely Lures all started. Thanks to Gene Hilliard of Pottsboro,
Texas for supplying me with my first slab mold, I started experimenting
with different colors.
     Since I'm on Lake Texoma nearly every day, I quickly
found out which colors worked the best. And these are the ones I am
selling on this website. And also the same ones that I supply for my
customers to use while we're fishing.
     I also try new color combinations out whenever possible
always looking for the best lure I can possibly make. And I use either
baked on powder paint or for some colors, high quality automotive
paint with an epoxy clear coat for maximum durability.
     We always use extra strong  #4 VMC treble hooks on the
Slabs & Eagle claw saltwater hooks on the jig heads.
